Welcome to Our First Week!

What an amazing first week it's been at Endicott School District Pre-School! Our classroom has been buzzing with excitement as new friends discover all the wonderful things waiting for them. From the colorful reading corner filled with storybooks to the building blocks that seem to reach the sky, every day has brought new adventures. We've watched shy smiles turn into giggles as children find playmates who love the same things they do—whether it's painting at the easel, playing in the dramatic play kitchen, or building magnificent towers together. The joy of making new friends has filled our days with laughter and the beginning of special friendships that will grow all year long.

Learning our new routines has been an adventure too! Our little learners are already becoming experts at hanging up their backpacks, washing their hands before snack time, and gathering on the carpet for circle time. They're exploring every corner of the classroom with curious eyes and eager hands, discovering the sensory table, the cozy book nook, and all the exciting learning centers. Each day brings new confidence as they learn where things belong and what comes next in our day. We're so proud of how quickly everyone is settling in and can't wait to see what wonderful discoveries next week will bring!

ESJ Fall Sports Practice starts today. So If you have not updated your final forms please do so before practice starts. If your child needs a physical, that will have to be completed prior to practice. If your child has had their physical completed and has not yet turned that in, that needs to be brought to school within the next 3 hours to be able to participate in the first practice. Thanks so much. It is good to see all the smiling faces back at school today.

❤️🙏 COMMUNITY FIRE UPDATE🙏❤️

We have some good news to share this morning. The fires in some areas have been downgraded, and the family who stayed with us last night has been released to return home. ❤️

They were able to get some much-needed rest, have a good breakfast this morning, and because of the incredible generosity of our community they had everything they needed.

To everyone who showed up with food, water, clothing, bedding, toiletries, and so much more… Thank You! ❤️ You didn't hesitate. You simply saw a need and showed up. That is what community is all about, and it was beautiful to witness.

Thank you to the Incident Management Team from Northeast Washington. They are currently stationed at the school to help our fist responders. Red Cross is in the area, and the Incident Management Team is working to connect with them as needed.

Jackie is the best point of contact at the school. First responders can check in with her in the cafeteria, and she can direct them to food, water, showers, sleeping quarters, or help with anything else that is needed. First responders and the Incident Management Team are currently stationed at our High School... and at this time, everyone has what they need.

If circumstances change, please know our doors remain open.❤️ Our Elementary School will remain available for families should the need arise.

Please continue to keep everyone impacted by these fires in your thoughts. This is a scary and incredibly difficult thing for families and communities to go through, and although we are grateful things are looking better today, we know there is still work ahead.

To our first responders... Thank You! for the long hours, sacrifices, courage, and hard work you have given to protect our communities. 🚒❤️

And to our amazing community... Thank You! for reminding us once again what it means to take care of one another. When our neighbors needed us, you showed up without hesitation.

We are incredibly grateful. ❤️

Thank you all, stay safe, and blessings to everyone. 🙏❤️

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of a cherished member of our school family. On June 21, 2026, Barbara "Barb" Strader passed away.

For 38 years, Barb faithfully served our students, staff, and community with unwavering dedication, kindness, and compassion. She was far more than an employee—she was a trusted mentor, a passionate advocate for students, a coach, and a positive influence on countless young people whose lives were enriched by her encouragement and care.

Barb believed deeply in the potential of every student she served. Whether working directly with children, supporting school activities, or simply offering a kind word when it was needed most, she made a lasting difference in the lives of generations of Endicott students and families.

The Strader family's roots in our community run deep, and their longstanding support of local events, school programs, and community activities has touched countless lives. Their commitment to Endicott reflects the same spirit of service, generosity, and dedication that Barb exemplified throughout her life.

This loss is sure to raise many emotions and memories throughout our school and community. Our sincerest condolences go out to Barb's family, friends, former students, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. As a school community, we mourn this tremendous loss together and remain committed to supporting our students, staff, and families during this difficult time.

While we grieve her passing, we also celebrate a life of service, compassion, and unwavering commitment to children. Barb's legacy will continue to live on through the students she inspired, the colleagues she supported, and the community she helped strengthen.
