ESJ M. S. Girls Basketball Game Day!

Oh my goodness 🥰❤️ look at these sweet Valentines soaking up recess and sunshine!
There is just something so special about small-town kids, big smiles, and playground memories being made. These moments... laughter on the monkey bars, helping hands, goofy poses, and hearts full of joy... are what it’s all about.
Valentine’s Day may have passed, but the reminder remains…
Love one another. Be kind. Include others. Choose words that build up, not tear down. 💛
Every single day is a gift. Every friendship is a blessing. Every opportunity to show kindness matters.
Let’s continue to raise Eagles who look out for one another, who cheer each other on, and who treat every day like it’s something to celebrate. ❤️🦅
So proud of our kids. So grateful for this community.
Spread the love — not just on Valentine’s Day, but every single day. 💕

Good Morning Eagle Families 🦅❤️
I want to take a moment to clarify an important school expectation around students leaving campus during the school day, and I truly appreciate you taking the time to read this with an open heart and a team mindset.
Outside of scheduled lunch times, students are not permitted to leave campus during the school day. When students leave class or campus during instructional time, those minutes are considered unexcused under Washington State attendance law, even if a parent has called or texted. As a school, we are legally required to track instructional minutes, ensure student supervision, and provide consistency and equity for all students.
This expectation applies to all regular classes, Running Start, and TA placements, unless a student has a modified schedule that has been approved to support them leaving for that period or for the rest of the day.
This has become a growing concern, not because of a lack of trust in our families, but because repeated interruptions to the school day impact:
• student learning and engagement
• our ability to meet state instructional requirements
• student safety and supervision
• fairness and consistency for all families
In a small community like ours, relationships matter deeply, and so does modeling responsibility, commitment, and accountability for our kids. Being present matters. Staying in class matters. These expectations help students build habits that will serve them far beyond school.
If there is a true emergency, please contact me directly so we can talk through the situation together. I am always willing to listen, problem-solve, and support families when real needs arise.
My goal is not to create barriers, but to create clarity, consistency, and a safe learning environment where every student is treated equitably and given the best opportunity to succeed.
Thank you for partnering with us, for supporting these expectations, and for helping our students understand the importance of being present, engaged, and accountable. When we work together, our kids are stronger for it.
With appreciation,
Ms. Strong ❤️
